|In his youth, Justin Rayner was an energetic and enthusiastic budding athlete. He spent his time playing hockey, baseball, volleyball, raced motocross and was just finishing elementary school in grade 8. In 2004 at the age of 13, Justin was involved in a devastating hockey accident that broke his neck and resulted in him being a quadriplegic.
When he was first injured, Justin was pretty down in the dumps about his whole situation. Who can blame a young kid for only seeing the downside of his situation? However, during his stay at Wascana Rehab Centre, Justin was visited by fellow quadriplegic, Clayton Gerein, who was able to lift his spirits and show him that his life was nowhere near being over.
Since 2012, Justin has been a part of REALM Foundation Inc. and is just starting to build and realize the potential of the network process that REALM offers. He has high hopes with what his network can help him with and where his life can go from here!
